Hairdressing Salon Equipment

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

Hairdressing salon equipment is probably the most important thing you need before opening a salon. The right hair salon furniture always makes a difference. This is important even in case of the reception furniture. If customers have entered your salon once, then it is easy to convince them by quality of service you offer. It is the “getting inside” part that is the most difficult. So never fail to rouse an impressive eye with some stylish but duly suitable reception furniture. Maintain a professional look. It is imperative that you have large surfaces and mirrors. Customers like to see what’s going on with their hair as you work. Make sure that you meet this need. This also provides a lot of light as light gets reflected off the shiny surfaces. In fact, this is also a good idea to create an illusion of space, especially if your salon is small. As for the surfaces, you obviously need to keep the scissors and hair dryers some place when you are not using them

Stools and styling chairs in your salon should be comfortable. This will make your customers feel at ease. They will also feel well treated and special, and this is one of the things that will keep them coming back. In fact, such chairs become even more important when customers have to be sitting on them for a while. This holds true not only in the salon chair but also in the waiting area. You don’t want to keep your customers waiting, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. When they do have to wait, they should at least be comfortable. Do not forget the trolleys! You need these to store your styling essentials like combs, brushes and scissors. Owning a wash station is a good idea. It is also important to possess the “right” kind of tools for your job. This will enable you to give perfect shape to your customer’s needs with a minimum of problems. Remember fewer problems equals customer satisfaction, and more satisfied customers tend to return.

It is also important to have wash areas as part of the hairdressing salon. This will enable the clients to have their hair washed easily and quickly. Don’t skimp on quality here since you will be using these a lot. If you want your customers to get their nails done, it is also important to have nail chairs and tables. This would be an additional part of your hairdressing salon equipment. You don’t necessarily have to start out with this, but remember full service salons tend to do better now. Customers want to get all their needs tended to in one place whenever possible.
